January

Justice High School is rededicated at a ceremony that honors Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, civil rights activist Barbara Rose Johns, and World War II hero and educator Louis G. Mendez Jr.

Outstanding athletes, coaches, and teams are inducted into the newly created Annandale High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

Huge crowds descend on Tom Davis Drive for the fourth Taste of Annandale.

November

  1. This article forgot to add that no new mixed use development started either in Baileys and Seven Corners. However work has begun on renovating section 8 housing and the steel structure for the Homeless shelter has progressed. This makes Mason the el Centro for Fairfax's Social Services. I can't wait for the announcement of the SE Social Services Office Building across from Bradley Acura. Masonites, save up your food stamps we are going to have allot of places to use those at.
