9292 Korean BBQ restaurant opens in Annandale
The interior features a high ceiling and lots of daylight. |
The 9292 Korean BBQ restaurant, which just opened this week in central Annandale, offers a wide selection of meats and extras cooked at your table.
What makes this place different, however, is each table has its own ventilation system so the whole place doesn’t get all smoky.
Each table has its own grill and ventilation system. |
9292, at 7131 Little River Turnpike, is an offshoot of the original 9292 Korean BBQ in Duluth, Ga. When the numbers 92-92 are spoken in Korean, they sound like the word for “grill.”
A second dining area attached to the restaurant, called 9292 Pocha, has a bar and will be a pub. Meanwhile, it’s serving a la carte meals and snacks.
From the left: spicy pork belly, steak, short rib brisket, and soy soup. |
Among the other entrees are pork kimchi stew, noodle soup, radish kimchi fried rice, and cold buckwheat noodles.
9292 still needs to hire dozens more employees. If you’re interested in a job, drop by and ask about openings.
Wow this place looks kind of cool inside, pushing Annandale into being a more vogue hipster place.
Haha "vogue hipster" is an interesting word combination. Hipsters will not approve.
Yeah I checked out Pocha, the lounge area. It has floor to ceiling windows, a huge constrast to the other bars in Annandale. The views aren't great, but I'll take it, it's definitely nice inside and posh. Annandale finally has a nice lounge to go to if you want something more upscale.
Wow…..korean bbq. Definitely needed another one of those in Annandale.
Bit late to the party this time, was expecting your usual response a bit earlier.
Better late than never. I'm hoping for more new Korean bbq joints in Annandale because you can never have too many. Maybe McDonald's, Wendy's, and Burger King can get in on the action too.
I am always a fan of new businesses moving in to an area – energy, additional options, commitment to the community, and tasty pork belly on top of that. Bring them on…
What are you doing to solve the problem that you believe exists other than complaining?
