ArtsSpace Falls Church hosts musical fundraiser this Saturday
If you looking for a fun thing to do Saturday evening, Oct. 24, come hear live music—while supporting the local arts scene—at ArtSpace Falls Church, 410 South Maple Ave.
NoBetterOff, a band of five northern Virginia musicians, will perform in the tradition of folk, rock, blues, and country at a fundraising event to support ArtSpace. A suggested contribution of $20 includes light fare and drinks. To make a reservation for this event, visit the Creative Cauldron website and select “Performances.”
ArtSpace, a joint venture of Creative Cauldron and Falls Church Arts, opened in July. The city of Falls Church paid for its development, and its operations are supported by fund-raising from the community. ArtSpace, under the direction of Creative Cauldron Director Laura Hull, offers reasonably priced cabarets, chamber music, blues, bluegrass, and folk music; dance; and solo or small ensemble theater performances for people of all ages.
Creative Cauldron, a not-for-profit learning-in-the-arts organization, has served the greater Falls Church/eastern Fairfax County area since 2002. It conducts workshops, summer camps, and educational arts programs for children, teens, and adults. It places a high value on inclusiveness and programs that emphasize the development of original work. The “cauldron” serves as a metaphor for collaboration, experimentation, and community.
