Alleged rapist arrested after attack in Annandale
Fairfax County police have arrested Falls Church resident Rony Herrera Deleon, 27, for allegedly abducting a teen and sexually assaulting her at a townhouse in Annandale. The suspect met the 17-year-old girl on MySpace and arranged to take her to dinner and a movie on July 24.
Instead, according to a report in the Washington Post, he took her to what he said was his “aunt’s house” in the 6800 block of Lafayette Park Drive, just off Little River Turnpike in Annandale, where he raped and stabbed her numerous times with a folding knife. She escaped and was treated at Inova Fairfax Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Deleon was charged on July 26 with abduction, rape, object sexual penetration, and malicious wounding. He was hanging cleaning business brochures on front doors when he was picked up by the police. That’s a clear warning if there ever was one – Don’t let any unknown venders or solicitors into your house.
