Christmas came early for children in Culmore. Santa, along
with personnel from the Bailey’s Crossroads Volunteer Fire Station and their
teenage helpers, distributed toys in the Culmore Family Resource Center, a
program operated by Second Story.

The Culmore Family Resource Center provides family-oriented resources, activities, and classes, such as
homework help, English instruction, food donations, and a teen center.

The toys had been donated by the public for the Marine Corps’ Toys for
Tots program. Altogether, donation boxes in Fairfax
County fire stations netted enough toys to nearly fill three tractor trailers.
