Annandale antique store will become a coffee shop
A coffee shop is in the works for the ground floor of an office building at 7601 Little River Turnpike in Annandale.
The owner, Fady Jouda, hopes to open the café, called Petra, in two or three months. He plans to focus on coffee and pastries.
Meanwhile, Jouda is using the space for Petra Design, a shop that specializes in estate sale items, antiques, and artworks from all over the world.
He is also looking for a home for the 15 cockatoos in the back room. A friend gave him a couple of the birds and they had babies. He won’t be able to keep them in the shop once the café opens.
Oh I had no idea there was an antique store there!
ditto! 🙂
We might be interested, but those are not cockatoos, they are cockatiels, I believe.
I remember when this building was Group Health. I used them for my health care for years.
Me too! I
Loved group health.
I had no idea that an antique shop was there, as I would have visited many times already.
They need better advertising and better signs .
