Annandale church hosts COVID vaccination clinic

Hope Lutheran Church

Hope Lutheran Church in
Annandale is hosting a COVID vaccine clinic Saturday, June 5, and invites
everyone in the area who needs to be vaccinated.

The church, at 4604
Ravensworth Road, is conducting the clinic in partnership with the Fairfax  County Health Department and Safeway. The
clinic will offer both the Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines free of
charge.
It’s open 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

The clinic at Hope Lutheran is
targeting the Latino community of Annandale, which has among the lowest vaccination
levels. The clinic, however, is open to everyone. No ID or documentation is
required.

The
Pfizer vaccine is authorized for anyone age 12 and older. Youths age 12-17 must
be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The J&J vaccine is limited to those
age 18 and up.

Registering in advance for a vaccination is recommended but not required.

“At Hope Lutheran Church, we
are very excited to be reopening our doors to the community,” says Eduardo
Conde, council vice president. “Being able to provide a trusted environment
where participants may feel safe is an opportunity we could not pass up. As a
community, we have to work together to ensure that the vaccine gets into as
many hands as possible to eradicate the pandemic.”
