Annandale Farmers Market opens May 3
The Annandale Farmers Market opens for the season May 3.
The market, at Mason District Park, 6621 Columbia Pike, will be open every Thursday, 8 a.m.-noon, through Nov. 1.
Eleven vendors will be onsite, offering seasonal produce, baked goods, and prepared foods. There will be a plant clinic at the market staffed by Master Gardeners will be on site to answer questions about plants.
These vendors will be at the Annandale Farmers Market:
- 78 Acres, Smithsburg, Md. – Fruits and vegetables.
- Bonaparte Breads, Savage, Md. – Organic French bread and pastries.
- F.J. Medina & Son Farm, Montross, Va. – Strawberries, corn, melons, tomatoes, squash, peppers, and other produce.
- Great Harvest Bread Co., Burke, Va. – Homemade whole-grain breads, granola, sweets, and cookies.
- Honeycomb Heroes – Raw honey, beeswax candles and other products.
- J&W Valley View Farm, Montross, Va. – Fruits and vegetables.
- Layla’s Lebanese Restaurant, Woodbridge, Va. – Lebanese food made daily with fresh ingredients.
- Pickle Factory, Montross, Va. – Dill, sweet bread and butter, mini, jalapeno, habanero, sour, and other types of pickles.
- Sharkawi Farm, Broad Run, Va. – Potted herbs, flowers, salad greens, cucumbers, fresh figs, dried lavender, teas, and spice mixes.
- Twin Springs Fruit Farm, Orrtanna, Pa. – Strawberries, peaches, tomatoes, carrots, and other fruits, berries, and vegetables.
- Valentine’s Bakery & Meats, Orange, Va. – Fruit pies, cookies, sweet breads, granola, whoopee pies, fruit jams, gluten-free items, plus beef, pork, lamb, chicken, and eggs, from free-range, antibiotic-free animals.
The Wakefield Farmers Market, at Wakefield District Park, is open every Wednesday, 2-6 p.m., through Oct. 31.
