Annandale gift shop AnnSandra is doubling in size

 

AnnSandra, a long-time Annandale shop that specializes in fine china, crystal, and gift items, has completed the first phase of a renovation and expansion project. 

 

The shop, at 4417 John Marr Drive, has moved into the empty space next door vacated by Party Co. AnnSandra’s former space is being renovated, and when it’s finished, the wall between the two spaces will be taken down, making the store twice as big. AnnSandra co-owner Sandy Davidson says the work is supposed to be finished in three to four weeks but will probably take longer.

 

 

Party Co. moved in August to a larger space in the same shopping strip that used to house Super Pets. The AnnSandra expansion was delayed several months because it took Party Co longer than expected to relocate.

 

The new, larger AnnSandra will have expanded bridal registry, baby, men’s, and luggage sections, and “there will be lots of surprises,” Davidson says.

 

AnnSandra has been in Annandale for more than 33 years. “We have lots of loyal, long-time customers,” she says. “Brides who registered here have been coming back for years to shop for their children.”
