Annandale Terrace community invited to 50th anniversary celebration June 5

Current and former students and staff at Annandale Terrace Elementary School are invited to take a stroll down memory lane Friday, June 5, at the school’s 50th anniversary celebration.

The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. with an open house, building tours, food trucks, and family activities, including a photo booth and face painting.

Several presentations and activities will begin at 6 p.m., including a slide show on the school’s history, an interactive timeline, a display of Annandale Terrace memorabilia from the past 50 years, video memories, student musical and jump rope performances, a DJ, the Inova Health Fun Bus, and organized playground games.

The formal program, to begin at 7:30, will include special memories from former students and staff, a PTA presentation, and the unveiling of a new school song.

Families and guests are encouraged to bring a portable chair or blanket. Overflow parking is available at Annandale High School, Ossian Hall Park, and throughout the community.
