A fairly large crowd came to Tollhouse Park in central
Annandale Friday evening for the annual tree-lighting ceremony sponsored by the Annandale Chamber of Commerce.

Students from Parklawn Elementary School, the Poe Carollers
(teachers from Poe Middle School), and soloist John Lopez, a Poe student
performed songs of the season.

Mason Supervisor Penny Gross urged everyone to spread
the word about how wonderful the community of Annandale is. State Del. Vivian Watts also appeared. At the count of 10, the switch was flipped,
lighting the Annandale Christmas tree on the other side of Annandale Road.
After the ceremony, everyone was invited for refreshments at the Burke and Herbert Bank next to Tollhouse Park on Annandale Road.
