Annandale woman assaulted in her home

The Fairfax County Police Department reports the following crimes in the Annandale/Mason District area this week.
A woman said a man entered her apartment on the 7500 block of Little River Turnpike in Annandale at 1:40 p.m. on Oct. 29, stabbed her, and stole cash. She was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
There was a mob assault and malicious wounding on the 3400 block of Lake Street in Bailey’s Crossroads shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 24. A large group attacked three men and assaulted them with bats and knives. The victims’ injuries were not life threatening.

Three people stole merchandise at the Spirit Halloween store in the Crossroads Center in Bailey’s Crossroads at 7:20 p.m. on Oct. 29 and left in a 2007 Ford sedan. When officers stopped the car and recovered the stolen merchandise, they discovered the car had been reported stolen.
Nitalia Rivera, 31, of Washington, D.C., was charged with possession of a schedule I/II narcotic, possession of drug paraphernalia, and petit larceny. Tyanna Thomas, 29, of D.C., was charged with receiving stolen property and petit larceny. Curtis Thomas, 33, of D.C., was charged with petit larceny.
A man was assaulted and had his phone stolen at 2 a.m., Oct. 30, on Parkwood Terrace at Marc Drive in the Falls Church area. The victim suffered injuries that were not life threatening.
I was surprised not to see any comments. We must becoming immune to living in the Watts district of Fairfax County. Truly sad that this is happening weekly and nothing is being done to thwart it.
