The Annandale zip code, 22003, has the second-highest number of COVID-19 cases in the state as of May 9, according to a breakdown of cases by zip code reported by the Virginia Health Department.
There were 510 cases and 1,419 “testing encounters” in zip code 22003, which includes some people tested more than once.
Among other zip codes in the Mason District area: 22041 (Bailey’s Crossroads) has 331 cases, 22312 (Lincolnia) has 222, and 22044 (Seven Corners) has 124 cases.
Zip code 22191 (Woodbridge) had the highest number of COVID cases in Virginia with 568. Zip code 22801 (Harrisonburg) came in third with 400.
Other zip codes with more than 400 COVID cases include 22204 in Arlington, and four zip codes in Prince William County.
