Another pizza place coming to Annandale

Paisano’s Pizza getting ready to open.

A Paisano’s Pizza restaurant is
expected to open at 7327
Little River Turnpike, Annandale, in early 2013. Paisano’s
is a franchise-operated restaurant chain that offers pasta, subs, wings, calzones, salads and other items, as well as
pizza. The Annandale location will sell beer but not wine, says corporate spokesperson Gary Wise. It will offer delivery service and have indoor and outdoor seating capacity for 27.
Paisano’s CEO Fouad Qreitem opened
the first restaurant at Fair Lakes in 1997. The chain has since grown to 17 locations, all in Northern Virginia except for one in
Rockville, Md. The restaurants closest to Annandale are in Bailey
s Crossroads and Springfield. The Annandale location is one of eight new Paisano’s coming to
Northern Virginia.
The Annandale Paisano’s Pizza is
going into a free-standing building that was most recently occupied by Pelican Seafood Restaurant for about eight months. The building was previously a meat store, and
before that, housed a Fannie May candy store.
Annandale certainly isn’t starved
for pizza places. We’ve already got Little Caesars, Domino
s, Flippin’ Pizza, Papa John’s, Pizza Hut, New York Pizza Factory, Big Bite Pizza, Big Papa Pizza & Wings, Magills Famous Pizza & Buffet, and Casa D’Mama—not to mention Jerry’s Subs and Pizza right next door. Whats your favorite?
