Argument over money leads to brandishing complaint

The large police presence on Crestwood Drive shortly after 9 p.m. Oct. 17 was a response to the report of a “weapon brandishing” situation.

According to Fairfax County Police spokesperson Tawny Wright, there was an argument between two men at a house in the 6200 block of Crestwood in the Lincolnia area. A 19-year-old had entered the property to confront a 24-year-old resident whom he said owned him money. Police found the older man outside with a firearm. They determined there was no criminal violation and let the suspect go but will try to obtain a warrant for brandishing
