Armed man assaults police at Annandale house party

If you live in Sleepy Hollow Woods or Columbia Pines, you might have been wondering what was up with the huge police presence. including a helicopter, in the neighborhood early Sunday morning.

It was all about an out-of-control party. As police responded to complaints about noise and fighting at residence on Moss Drive, a man with a gun assaulted three police officers. The man, who was a renter at the house where the party was held, was arrested for felony assault on the police and brandishing a weapon, said Capt. Gun Lee, commander of the Mason District Police Station. No one was hurt in the incident.
