Armed robbery at Seven Corners spa

Fairfax
County police detectives are investigating an armed robbery at the Blossom Spa
in Seven Corners on Saturday, Oct. 10, shortly after 8 p.m.  A man entered the mom-and-pop business in the
Boulevard Square Office Park at 6051 Arlington Blvd. posing as a customer, says
FCPD spokesperson Roger Henriquez.

Once
inside a back room, he brandished a knife at an employee. Another man then
entered the shop, escorted two other employees into the room, and the suspects
threatened the three women and took cash and cell phones from them. None of the
victims required medical attention.

The
suspects were described as black males in their early to mid-40s and 5 feet 6
to 5 feet 7 inches tall. One suspect had a skinny build and black hair. He was
wearing a dark-colored jacket and a black baseball cap. The second suspect had
a medium build and black hair. He was clean shaven and wore a red shirt.
There is
no indication at this time that this incident is connected to other armed
robberies in the area, Henriquez said.
 

Several additional crimes were reported in Mason District in
the past few days:
·        
A man walking along the 6300 block of Eighth
Street in Alexandria at about 8:15 p.m. on Oct. 9 was approached by a man who
discharged a stun gun at him, took property, and fled. The victim did not incur
life-threatening injuries. The suspect was described as white, wearing a black
mask and dark clothing.
·        
There was an attempted robbery by the
intersection of Barrett Road and Westlawn Drive at about 11 p.m. on Oct. 10.
Two men in a vehicle approached a male pedestrian. One of the suspects got out,
displayed a handgun, and demanded money. The victim didn’t have anything to
relinquish. The suspects, described as Hispanics in their 20s, fled.

A pedestrian walking along the 5500 block of
Seminary Road at about 11:04 p.m. on Oct. 12 was approached from behind by a
man who pushed him, took property, and fled. The victim was not injured. The
suspect was described as a male of unknown race, in his 20s, about 6 feet tall,
approximately 180 pounds, and wearing a black hoodie.

A man who arranged the sale of a phone on
Craigslist was robbed on Oct. 12 at about 7:16 p.m. in the 7400 block of Little
River Turnpike in Annandale. The suspect took cash and fled. He was described as black and
in his 20s.
·        
A trespassing incident in the 6600 block of
Arlington Boulevard, Falls Church, on the night of Oct. 9 resulted in the
arrest of Helen Armstrong, 56, of Washington, D.C. She was charged with
disorderly conduct, larceny, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.
