The Craft Gallery of Artisans United in Annandale is auctioning off weavings and drawings by Sharon Safran. The proceeds will support the gallery’s classes and outreach efforts.

Safran, a longtime member of Artisans United, died in October 2023. Her husband, David Hirsch, donated some of her work to the Craft Gallery.

The silent auction will be open until 4 p.m. on Dec. 1.

To submit a bid, visit the Craft Gallery of Artisans United at 4022 Hummer Road, call the gallery at 703-941-0202, or send a message via the contact page.

Starting bids are $25 for weavings and $20 for framed art.

Safran started out as a painter. After studying textiles at the Rhode Island School of Design, she branched out to weaving on a loom and silk painting.

Some of her creations, including painted silk blouses and scarves, are available for purchase at the Craft Gallery.
