Bailey’s Crossroads Aldi to open next week
Workers put the finishing touches on the new grocery store. |
The new Aldi grocery store in Bailey’s Crossroads is will open to the public at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, and will have a grand opening at 8 a.m. Sept. 19.
The store, at 5725 Columbia Pike, is at the former Babies R Us location.
If you want a shopping cart, you have to “rent” for a quarter. |
The first 100 customers on Sept. 19 will receive a “golden ticket” worth up to $100. Free product samples will be available, as well.
On both days, eco-friendly bags will be given out, and shoppers can enter a contest to receive free produce for a year (based on a household average of $10 per week spent on produce).
The store will be open daily, 8 a.m.-9 p.m.
Aldi is known for lower prices, but the tradeoff is unfamiliar brands and limited service.
