Bailey’s Crossroads business robbed

Three people broke into the Surf ’n’ Suds Laundromat, at 5715 Columbia Pike in Bailey’s Crossroads at 4 a.m. on Jan. 25, the Fairfax County Police Department reports.

The suspects confronted an employee, took money from a cryptocurrency ATM, then ran away.  The suspects are described as two black men and a Hispanic woman. All were wearing masks and dark clothing.

A man walking in the 6200 block of Little River Turnpike, by Landmark Plaza in Lincolnia, was assaulted and robbed by two men at 5 p.m. on Jan. 24. One of the suspects was described as black, six feet tall, in his 20s, and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt. The other suspect was black, in his late teens, and wearing a black-and-white striped sweatshirt, white pants, and red shoes.

  1. There is a bit of humor in bitcoin, a currency oft used for money laundering, being the subject of an ATM robbery in a laundromat.
