Bank robbery suspect identified

Detectives have identified a suspect in the M&T Bank robbery in Annandale Oct. 31 as Randy Thompson, 29, of York, Pa., the Fairfax County Police Department reports.

Family members reported Thompson as missing to the Baltimore City Police Department on Nov. 2. He was last seen in the 2100 block of N. Charles Street on Nov. 1.

Based on his mental status and recent circumstances in his life, Thompson was listed as “missing endangered.” The WBAL radio station reported, “Thomas has made threats to harm himself, and his family is very concerned about him.”

After following up numerous leads, detectives obtained a warrant for bank robbery on Nov. 5 in Fairfax County. Detectives believe the suspect has assumed a new identity in another state and that he may be living under an unknown alias. If you have information, contact Crime Solvers, 866-411-TIPS/8477.
