Bitez now open in Annandale

Workers are putting up an outdoor dining area.

A new casual restaurant called Bitez opened in Annandale on March 31.

It’s located at 7258 Columbia Pike in the spot formerly occupied by Antojitos.

The owner, Layth Mansour, describes the food as “halal New York style.” The menu includes gyros, lamb over rice, chicken over rice, and falafel. There are also crepes, with a variety of fillings, such as Nutella, chocolate caramel, strawberries, and bananas.

There are gluten-free crepes and pita, as well.

Bitez is a good place for a late-night bite, as it’s open until 4 a.m.

Customers order at a counter. There are a few tables inside, and an outdoor dining area is being constructed in front.

Mansour has deep roots in Annandale, having been a high-scoring member of the Annandale High School basketball team. After graduating in 2006, the 6’8″ forward played for Chowan University in North Carolina and professionally in Jordan.

Mansour also owns the Eska restaurant on Columbia Pike in Arlington; Legend Kicks, a shop focusing on reselling high-end sneakers and athletic wear, also on Columbia Pike in Arlington; and a couple of food trucks.

  2. Went by the other day and I was blown away with the quality, taste, and perfection Bitez has to offer. Very excited to have this gem open smack dab in the middle of Annandale. It’s about time we have a Halal new york style chicken/lamb/gyro platters over rice and delicious crepes spot in Annandale! The owners were super cool and down to earth
