Braddock Road beltway exit ramps closed this weekend

There could be some major traffic headaches around the Braddock Road exit on the beltway this evening.

The Virginia Department of Transportation plans to close the north exit ramp (54A) from the Beltway heading west on Braddock Road, from 9 p.m. on Friday, May 13, to 11 a.m. Sunday morning. The Braddock Road east exit onto I-495 north will also be closed during the same period.

Watch for signs directing motorists to detours.

The closures are required for repaving and traffic shifts as part of the project to implement high-occupancy toll (HOT) lanes on the beltway. The work may be delayed if the weather if bad.
