Chico’s one-year anniversary party on Sept. 30 features mini-makeovers for pets and people

Chico’s Natural Pet Market invites everyone and their pets to an Open House and Pampered Pet  Party Sunday, Sept. 30, 1-7 p.m., to celebrate the store’s one-year anniversary and introduce its new pet spa.

Chico’s, at 6349A Columbia Pike, is hosting the best-dressed pet contest at the Taste of Annandale and will offer free mini-makeovers for pets and people at the Oct. 13 street festival on Tom Davis Drive, Annandale.

Chico’s is also having a weeklong first anniversary sales event Sept. 30-Oct. 8 with special savings and gift-with-purchase offers.

The Sept. 30 event at Chico’s will have entertainers, including dancers and costumed characters; yoga classes; refreshments for people and pets; mini spa treatments for people and pets; door prizes; free samples; and giveaways.

The spa treatments use products from K9 Granola Factory, a company that makes all-natural items that are safe and gentle enough for people.

The mini makeovers for pets include nail trims, paw treatments, beauty brushing, and skin and coat moisturizing. Treatments for people include mini foot and hand massages, aromatherapy, and neck and shoulder wraps with an herbal pad. To make an appointment, call 703-750-6675 or 202-243-8484.

The spa at Chico’s Natural Pet Market offers free baths to K9 police dogs and discounts for people who adopt a rescue pet or care for a foster pet from Fancy Cats and Dogs.
