Chipotle is moving into the spot vacated by Quiznos in the Crossroads Place shopping center on Leesburg Pike across from the Skyline Center. An opening date won’t be known until the permitting process is complete, says Senior Property Manager Stephen Wolff with Levin Property Management.
Chipotle, one of the originators of “fast casual” dining, specializes in Mexican food with organic ingredients. The company has about 1,800 locations worldwide, including many in the D.C. region, but this will be the second one in Mason District.

Huh, I did not know that there was a Qdoba there at some point! There is one right down the road, as well.

A Trader Joe's would be perfect. I am trying to remember what was there after the A&P left.
I think it's going to be awhile – the owners are not the most reasonable people.
Or why not a mini department store? I'm not talking about a discount store,I would like to have something like, Lord & Taylor or even a Macy's. We wouldn't have to drive to Tyson's to buy something nice.

Love Chipotle & glad to have one closer. I too would LOVE a MOMs or Trader Joe's in the Bloom space! Owner should have left MAXX fitness in, even if they didn't pay rent. Endless vacancies at both ends of the strip mall make our area look blighted, and there's been no rent coming in from these empty storefronts for years. In the meantime, could we at least have pop-up stores/restaurants there? Or how about a shelter for abused women & children until something else comes along? Owner might be able to take a charitable deduction. People from the Bailey's shelter could run it & local churches could help.
