Coach CJ Celebration Feb. 28 supports scholarships for student athletes

All local residents are invited to a Coach CJ Celebration to
support a scholarship program in memory of  Clayton Joyner, the former swimming coach for Falls Church High School and the Holmes Run Pool. Joyner died last April at age
29.
The party is Saturday, Feb. 28, 7-11 p.m., at the Annandale Volunteer Fire Department social hall, 7128 Columbia Pike. There
will be a DJ, dancing, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, coffee, beer, wine, and
nonalcoholic beverages.

The proceeds will go to the Clayton Joyner Memorial Scholarship fund, which awards two $2,000 scholarships annually to students on the
Falls Church High School swim and dive team. FCHS dedicated a

Reach for the Wall records board to Joyner in December.
Admittance to the Coach CJ Celebration is $30 for adults,
$20 for people under 21, and $100 for families.

Space is limited. Please register by Feb. 25. Mail checks (made out to Clayton Joyner Memorial Scholarship) to Clayton Joyner Memorial Scholarship, Kim Carroll, Treasurer, P.O. Box 2614, Merrifield VA 22116. You can also use your PayPal account. Send donations to [email protected]
