Crime report includes peeping, robbery

Recent crimes reported in the Mason/Annandale area reported by the Fairfax County Police Department include burglary, peeping, and robbery.

The resident of a home on the 4100 block of Medford Drive in Annandale heard the family dog growling at about 8:50 p.m. on Nov. 19 and went to investigate.

She saw her bedroom window open and a hand reaching through holding the curtain back. She called out to the suspect and the hand disappeared. She went outside and found the suspect still there.

Ghebrenegus Habteselasse, 26, of Annandale, was arrested and charged with burglary and peeping.

A group of seven men, described as Hispanic and in their late teens to early 20s, assaulted a victim in Bailey’s Crossroads and stole a backpack. That incident happened on the 6000 block of Argyle Drive at 12:45 a.m. on Nov. 11.

Another robbery happened at about 5:40 p.m., Nov. 11, on the 6100 block of Leesburg Pike in Bailey’s Crossroads. Two suspects approached two victims. The suspects assaulted one of the victims and took personal property. The suspects were described as Hispanic men in their early 20s.

  1. Sickening what is happening in Mason District. My nextdoor app goes off several times a day due to robbery, car theft, breaking into cars, homes, etc. What is happening to Fairfax County. Can't wait to move and we continue to vote the same people in that absolutely do nothing. The police force application is down 65%…wonder why?
