Crime report: Shooting, robbery
The Fairfax County Police Department reports the following crimes in the Annandale and Bailey’s Crossroads area in the past week:
A man was shot in the lower body while walking on a sidewalk on Lake Street in Bailey’s Crossroads at about 7:20 p.m. on Jan. 16. He was taken to the hospital with injuries that were non-life threatening.
A woman was robbed in the 7000 block of Little River Turnpike, Annandale, shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 21. She was approached by a man with a gun who demanded personal property, then ran away. No injuries were reported.
Police recovered a stolen car in the 3400 block of Carlin Springs Road in Bailey’s Crossroads on Jan. 21. When an officer stopped a stolen 2006 Acura TL shortly before 11 p.m., two juveniles ran from the car. They were located by officers, and one was charged with grand larceny auto theft.
Three men robbed the T-Mobile store at 3400B Washington Drive in Bailey’s Crossroads Jan. 17 shortly before 4:30 p.m. They displayed a gun and ran away with property and cash.
