Crime spree in Lincolnia
It started with a commercial robbery at about 10 p.m. on Dec. 16 at a Verizon store at 6198M Little River Turnpike in Landmark Plaza. Two men forced the employees into a back room, then stole several dozen cell phones and left the scene. The employees were not injured.
Police officers spotted the suspects attempting to leave the area in a car. A pursuit was initiated but lasted only a couple of minutes before the suspects crashed into a citizen’s car and then into a creek bed, the FCPD reports. The citizen was not injured.
Officers arrested the driver, Darrius Berry, age 24. He was charged with robbery, abduction for pecuniary benefit, felony speed to elude, felony hit-and-run, driving without a license, and driving without insurance. Additional charges are pending.
The second suspect ran from the crash scene. The FCPD believes he ran to a nearby shopping center and stole a white 2006 Toyota Sienna from a woman who was leaving work in Annandale. She was not injured. The suspect is described as a black man around 6 feet tall, between 215 and 230 pounds.
The Toyota Sienna was found in Prince George’s County Dec. 17. Three people inside the vehicle were arrested, and detectives are working to determine whether any of them were involved with the Saturday night incidents. Detectives are also looking into whether the robbery at the Verizon store is related to other robberies in the region.

I am not sure this qualifies as a "spree" – certainly a heinous crime but more of a single-event than a repeated criminal behavior.
Spree: "a spell or sustained period of unrestrained activity of a particular kind." the phone store robbery, felony hit and run and another vehicle stolen. Kind of qualifies as a spree, methinks.
Dropping a bomb on that entire area would be an urban renewal improvement. Great police work, the police cars were racing to the crime scene. They should send the perpetrators to Guantanamo…….now thats what I call a sanctuary city.
I hate that Beauregard shopping center area. Remove the criminals there!
