Distracted driver hits a school bus

A white sedan struck a school bus at about 8:45 this morning in the 5200 block of Inverchapel Road in North Springfield, the Fairfax County Police Department tweeted. No children were injured. The driver was treated for minor injuries and was charged with having a phone in hand.

  2. Ondaboat, I totally agree. Route 7 between Seven Corners Plaza and Culmore; daily/nightly cars are definitely driving over the speed limit (35 now–before 40) and the noise is UNREAL. I witnessed
    a cruiser sitting in the church parking lot and I know he/she heard and saw what I saw/heard and nothing. I respect the police and firepeople tremendously and I agree who wants the JOB–but lets do the JOB if that is what you signed up for. Even walking around the community, I always see registrations and inspection stickers out of date. Driving behind a vehicle and it is swaying from one side to the other, drive up next to the vehicle (if you can); phone up to the drivers ear!!
