District Taco opens in Bailey’s Crossroads

The new restaurant in the Skyline Center [District Taco].

District Taco opened Nov. 21 in the Skyline Center at Bailey’s Crossroads. The Yucatan-style Mexican restaurant chain started with a food truck in 2009 and now includes nine restaurants in the D.C. area, employing 400 people, says CEO and co-founder Osiris Hoil.

The first 50 customers in line at the Bailey’s Crossroads location at 11 a.m. on the opening day got a free meal and goodie bag. A portion of the first day’s profits was donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

In 2017, Hoil plans to open new restaurants in South Arlington and Tysons Corner.

In other restaurant news, a Five Guys is coming to 6134-C Arlington Blvd., in the Willston Center II in Seven Corners.

    1. Its a good start, much better than a DMV, a homeless shelter stop and go, and a social service HQ. And if Penny helped promote this tacos to her!
