  1. Two people in a car driving through a dense area are stopped in the early morning. How is this like the South Bronx? There is a church on one corner, apartment building on the other, boys and girls club at the back of the mall, and single family homes. The streets are paved, the lights work, a planning study is working on improving the area, the mall is busy, the residents are just like the rest of us . . . no burned out buildings, vast vacant lots, abandoned cars. This kind of hyperbole does nothing to advance any discussion.

    1. Take a spin during the day or at rush hour, its like a third world ghetto, trash everywhere. Happy to hear about the planning study, hope it works out. All those 7 Corner and Baileys Crossroad studies have yet to amount to anything substantive. And yet all the surrounding areas seem to be getting facelifts except Mason.
