According to fire
investigators, Adams’ clothing caught fire while he was cooking on a stove. He
suffered thermal burns and was transported by ground to Washington Hospital
Center’s Burn Unit with life threatening injuries.

firefighters arrived at approximately 9:40 p.m., they
found the fire had been extinguished by a neighbor. Damage is estimated at
$2,000.
