Early voting underway at more locations

Early voting in Fairfax County is now available at an additional 13 locations as of Oct. 21, including the Mason District Government Center and Thomas Jefferson Library.
Those locations are open for voting noon-7 p.m. on weekdays; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturdays, Oct. 23 and Oct. 30; and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24.
Election Day is Nov. 2. The last day to vote early is Oct. 30.
If you received a ballot by mail, you can turn it in at a drop box at any early voting location or at any polling place on Election Day by 7 p.m. If you mail it in, it must be postmarked on or before Nov. 2. A witness signature is required.
Here’s what Annandale/Mason District voters will see on their ballot:
- Governor: Terry McAuliffe (D), Glenn Youngkin (R), Princess Blanding (Liberation Party).
- Lieutenant governor: Hala Ayala (D), Winsome Sears (R).
- Attorney general: Mark Herring (D), Jayson Miyares (R).
- House of Delegates District 38: Del. Kaye Kory (D), Tom Pafford (R).
- House of Delegates District 39: Maureen Brody (R), Del. Vivian Watts (D).
- House of Delegates District 49: Timothy Kilcullen (R), Del. Alfonso Lopez (D), Terry Modglin (independent).
- School bond: $360 million proposed for new school construction, additions, and renovations. That includes $130 million for construction at Falls Church High School and $4 million for design and planning at Bren Mar Park Elementary School.
Voters can choose whether to mark a paper ballot or use a touch screen on an electronic ballot-marking machine called ExpressVote.
ExpressVote prints out a paper ballot that voters insert into the same voting machine used for paper ballots.
Voters must bring an ID to the polls, but needn’t bring a photo ID.
