    1. It's hard to judge a person on demographics alone – a better measure would be whether she improved the place when she was there, but I know those facts are not always available. If she was in a school with 87% of kids at risk of dropout but managed to bring that nubmer down from 92% or something like that, then that tells a different story. Her resume looks impressive and I wish her all the luck. I hope she remembers that she's there for the kids, not the teachers union.

    2. I am sorry but she looks like she is one of the students, I am not impressed. This County is deteriorating at rocket speed. When will this stupidity stop.

    3. Ms. Narcisse started at Fondren MS in 2018 and that rating comes from…2018. Do you realize what it takes to turn around an entire school? Hint: it takes more than one year, and more than a new principal.

As for her appearance relative to her age, 8:05, she started teaching in 2002. Should she be downgraded because she looks young? (Note for the future: have someone proofread your comments before you start talking about stupidity.)

    4. Since you know so much kda, why dont you tell her to get a photo that make her look like she is an adult. I use to proof resumes and a picture is a thousand words. She needs to present herself maturely.

    5. What the heck does your past job "proofing" resumes have to do with how she looks? If you know anything about a professional resume, you should know that unless you're in the acting profession, they do not contain photos.

Some people just look young. I'm 51 and am blessed with such genes. People tell me I look like I'm in my late 30s, so do not judge based on looks. Further, why does she have to present herself "maturely" – I think presenting herself professionally is a better measure to be honest. And to be honest, whether she looks "mature" or not, is not what is going to show me that she is a good principal. You should never judge a book by its cover!

Finally – check your grammar. Your mistakes seriously give me pause about whether you really used to "proof resumes" (whatever job that is). If you did, you would know that it's "I useD to proof resumes and a picture is WORTH a thousand words."

  1. I really don't understand why racist comments (yes, racist), which are moderated, are allowed to be published on this blog. Let the ugly show, I guess? If the new principal were a white woman or a white man, you would have nothing to say. You say she looks like her students? Why? Because of her hairstyle? I see her in a professional looking blazer and jeans. The next time you spend all day on your feet (and evenings too) running a school the size of a small college get back to me about dress-style. You used to proof resumes? Slow clap. Welcome to 2021. In the meantime, haters who judge a book by its cover need to get a hobby and make a positive contribution to your community.

    1. Totally agree – the racist undertone to these comments is despicable. You can do better, Annandale.

  2. For the poster who suggested the Texas data was outdated, I checked the Texas state report card for Fondren MS in 2019-20 for 2019-20. Performance on the Texas equivalent to the SOLs in VA, called the STAAR reports, declined across "all subjects," with only 28% of student receiving passing scores (down from 31% the prior year).

Agree that Ms. Narcisse's personal appearance should have nothing to do with whether she's qualified for the job. I am concerned, however, as to whether she's prepared to head Justice HS, which has a different profile than her prior schools, despite some similarities.

  3. Justice Principal Tiffany Narcisse, as noted in the subsequent article in the comments about her former school, continues to be just a “C.”
Students at Justice High School deserve a better Principal; one who cares about them, wants them to be the best they can and is willing to take on the serious topics of drugs and violent behavior in school, truancy and low scores rather than wanting to be a social media star and just straight up narcissistic.
    Fire Tiffany Narcisse!
