Enjoy an outdoor show four days a week
What better way to spend a summer evening than enjoying a free outdoor show in a local park? The summer concert series in Annandale parks is in full swing.
There are Spotlight by Starlight performances three nights a week at Mason District Park and once a week at Ossian Hall Park. All shows start at 7:30 p.m.
On Saturday, June 25, it’s Indonesian Cultural Heritage Night at Ossian Hall Park at 7900 Heritage Drive.
Santi Budaya will present classical dances and music from Java, Bali, Sumatra, and other Indonesian islands, featuring lavish costumes.
The United States Army Blues will present a jazz show at the Mason District Park amphitheater, 6621 Columbia Pike, on Sunday, June 26.
Next Tuesday, June 28, the Friends of Green Spring Gardens are hosting a Summer Concert in the Garden at 5:30 p.m. There will be children’s activities, as well. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair.
Then, on June 29, Karl Stoll & the Danger Zone will present a house-rockin’ blues show at Mason District Park.
The first weekend in July features a big band performance by the National Concert Band of America at Mason District Park, on Friday, July 1; Bavarian Cultural Heritage Night on Saturday, July 2 at Ossian Hall Park; and the City of Falls Church Concert Band Sunday, July 3 at Mason District Park.
There are also several upcoming children’s programs Saturday mornings at 10, including the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra’s Percussion Ensemble at Mason District Park on June 25, Rocknoceros at Mason District Park on July 2, and the Grandsons Jr. at Wakefield Park, also on July 2.
The Spotlight by Starlight series continues until Aug. 20 at Ossian Hall Park and until Aug. 21 at Mason District Park, Concerts are listed here and on the Annandale Today Events page.
