Extended library hours take effect Sept. 8

Starting Sept. 8, hours
at Fairfax County libraries will be extended, which means George Mason Regional Library in Annandale will be open on Monday and Wednesday mornings and Thursday
evenings.
The new hours for all regional
libraries will be 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on
Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday.
Branch libraries,
including Thomas Jefferson on Route 50, will be open additional hours on Monday
evenings and Tuesday mornings, although they will still be closed on Thursday
mornings and all day on Sundays.
The new hours for community
branch libraries will be 10 a.m.-9 p.m. on Monday through Wednesday, 1-9 p.m.
on Thursday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday.
