Fire damages nail supply shop at Route 50 and Graham Road
More than 60 firefighter from Falls Church and Arlington, as
well as Fairfax County, battled a two-alarm fire at Skyline Nail Supply at 7234

No one was injured. The shop, in Graham Center strip mall
next to Graham Road, was heavily damaged. The fire did not spread to other
stores, although they could have suffered smoke damage. Firefighters used
compressed air foam to control the fire, due to the flammable chemicals inside
the building, said a spokesperson for the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department. Fire investigators haven’t yet determined the cause of the fire or
the extent of the damage.

Update: The fire was accidental and was caused by a light fixture in the ceiling, the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department reported Jan. 6. Preliminary damage is estimated at $100,000.
