If you’ve suffered property damage due to the heavy rains and flooding on July 8, the Fairfax County Emergency Management Department encourages you to file a report on the Disaster Damage Database.
Filing a report is voluntary, but the damage reports could have an impact on whether the county receives federal disaster assistance, which could benefit residents who suffered losses.
Initial damage assessment reports are due Friday, July 12. If residents need more time to complete their report, the deadline is July 24.
