Flu vaccines available in Falls Church

Limited amounts of the H1N1 vaccine will be available at the Falls Church District office of the Fairfax County Health Department from noon until 7 p.m. today, the Falls Church News-Press reports.

The clinic, located at 6245 Leesburg Pike, Suite 500, will offer up the free vaccine to all Falls Church City and Fairfax County residents eligible in the target groups:

  • Pregnant women
  • People who live with or provide care for infants younger than 6 months (parents, siblings, and day care providers)
  • Health care workers who have direct patient contact
  • People 6 months through 24 years of age
  • People ages 25 through 64 who have certain medical conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications.
The 600 total vaccinations will be available in two shifts: the first 350 people starting at noon and then the first 250 people starting at 5 p.m. For more information, visit the Fairfax County flu website.
