Free drive-through COVID testing this weekend in Annandale and Bailey’s Crossroads

The Virginia Department of Health and the Fairfax County Health Department are teaming up to  provide  free drive-through and walk-up COVID-19 testing in Annandale and Bailey’s Crossroads this weekend. 

The testing will take place Saturday, May 23, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., at Annandale High School, 4700 Medford Drive, and Sunday, May 24, at Bailey’s Elementary School, 6111 Knollwood Drive.  

The testing is open to anyone at least 2 years old who has symptoms or who thinks they might have been exposed to COVID. You don’t need a doctor referral, insurance, an appointment, or an ID card. There will be Spanish speakers on site.
This testing event is part of a statewide effort targeting community hot spots. 
The Bailey’s Crossroads zip code, 22041 has the second-highest prevalence of COVID in Fairfax County, with 476 cases as of May 18. That’s a rate of 1,700.7 cases per 100,000 persons. The total population in 22041 is 27,989.
The Annandale zip code, 22003, has 694 cases among a total population of 55,990. That’s a rate of 1,239 cases per 100,000 persons. 
The Fairfax County zip code with the highest prevalence of COVID cases is 22150 in Springfield.
