Free meals served this summer at local schools

Children from lower-income households in Fairfax County needn’t go hungry when schools are closed this summer. Fairfax County Public Schools is participating in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s summer food service program, which ensures that students who qualify for free and reduced-price meals during the school year continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session.
Free meals that meet federal nutrition guidelines will be provided to all children without charge on a first-come, first-served basis. The following schools in the Annandale/Mason District will be serving meals this summer:
Annandale Terrace Elementary School – July 11-29, breakfast 8:30-9 a.m., lunch 11:30 a.m.- noon.
Bailey’s ES (lower campus) – June 27-Sept. 2, lunch 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Beech Tree ES – July 11-29, breakfast 9:15-10 a.m., lunch 11:45 a.m.- 12:45 p.m.
Belvedere ES –July 5-Aug. 11, breakfast 8:30-9 a.m., lunch 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Braddock ES – June 27-Sept. 2, lunch 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; June 27-Aug. 12, breakfast 8:30-9 a.m.
Bren Mar Park ES – July 5-Aug. 11, breakfast 8-9:30 a.m., lunch 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Camelot ES – July 11-Aug. 4, breakfast 9:30-10 a.m.
