A man entered the business at about 7:35 a.m., displayed a knife, and demanded money. Two
employees inside refused and a struggle took place. The victims were able to
subdue the suspect and hold him until officers arrived.

Hicks, 22, of Fairfax, was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening
injuries, taken to the Adult Detention Center, and charged with attempted
robbery. One of the victims was treated at the scene for a non-life-threatening
injury sustained during the struggle.

In other crime news, a man walking by the Little River Turnpike/Medford Drive intersection was robbed at around 11 a.m. on March 30. He was approached by two men. One suspect
displayed a knife and demanded money. The victim fled uninjured.

sweatshirt. The other suspect was black, over 5 feet 7 inches tall, and

later discovered the burglar had taken property. The suspect was described as
Hispanic, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and around 120 pounds. He was wearing
a black jacket, dark pants, and a mask. The investigation is ongoing.
