George Mason Friends book sale has something for everyone

Thousands of high-quality books, CDs, DVDs, video games, and more will be on sale at the George Mason Friends Fall Book Sale Sept. 27-30.

The sale is at George Mason Regional Library, 7001 Little River Turnpike, and if the last sale is any indication, lines will form early.

The hours are:

  • Thursday, Sept. 27 – 3-9 p.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 28 – 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 29 – 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Sunday, Sept. 30 – noon-5 p.m. Everything is half off on Sunday.

There is something for everyone:

For young readers, the book sale has an entire room dedicated to children’s titles sorted by subject and reading level. There is a large assortment of board books, picture books, easy readers, children’s fiction, non-fiction, young adult fiction, and books in other languages.

Older students can find classics on their school reading list, reference works, language study materials, math books, science books, art books, and sheet music.

For those thinking ahead to the holidays, the sale offers a great selection of beautiful gift books in perfect condition on everything from cooking to travel, art to sports.

Looking for entertainment? You’ll find plenty of movies, TV shows, music, e-games, popular and classic fiction, humor, comic books, and graphic novels.

Come early for the best selection, then come back on Sunday for half-price bargains.
