Glory Days to open in December

The sign at the future Glory Days on Columbia Pike.
The
Glory Days restaurant and sports bar is expected to open in Barcroft Plaza in
December, reports Glory Days Grill Marketing Director Charissa Costa Bauhaus.
The
company hopes to have a soft opening around Dec. 13, serving dinner only for a
few days, before opening with regular hours.

Unlike
many Glory Days restaurants, the Barcroft location will serve pizza. The rest
of the menu will be pretty standard, including burgers, tacos, wings, and
sandwiches. It will have seating for 225 diners.

Daily
specials at the Barcroft Glory Days include Monday Burgers, Taco Tuesdays,
Rib Wednesdays, Pizza Thursdays, and Fish Fry Fridays, Bauhaus says. There will
be happy hour drink specials, including a “24/7 Margarita” ($7 for 24 oz., available
all day every day). The Snack Attack Menu, available after 9 p.m., has
snack-sized appetizers for $4, $5, and $6.

“Every
Glory Days Grill takes on a bit of a different personality based on the managing
partner’s personality,” she says. The manager of the Barcroft location, Wali
Ghause, formerly from the Reston/North Point restaurant, is “a master of
hospitality.”

  1. Finally!!! I was beginning to think the whole Glory Days thing was a myth. So, welcome to the neighborhood, guys! We local barflies have long needed a place to hang out. Sparky

  2. One more thing: How many times do I have to play CAPTCHA before my comment is accepted? My last one required five rounds of identifying street signs. Since identifying street signs is hardly rocket science, I wonder if this isn't some undergraduate psychology experiment designed to test the determination of posters. – Sparky
