Golf tournament benefits Falls Church High School athletics
Attention golfers: You can enjoy a great game while supporting Fair Church High School athletics. The FCHS Booster Club’s 2012 Golf Tournament is April 29 at Penderbrook Golf Club in Fairfax. Check-in is 10:30 a.m., and “shotgun” starts at noon.
Registration, $90 per golfer, includes 18 holes of golf, a buffet lunch, a free future round of golf at Penderbrook, and more. The event features prizes for the longest drive and closest to the pin, a 50/50 raffle, silent auction, lots of door prizes, and a chance to win a new car in a hole-in-one contest sponsored by Lustine Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep.
Two lucky foursomes will have a chance to play nine holes with Mike “Fluff” Cowan, Jim Furyk’s caddie and formerly Tiger Woods’ caddie.
Also scheduled to play in the tournament are former Redskins Brian Mitchell, Lorenzo Alexander, and Roy Jefferson, as well as former Major League Baseball pitcher Pete Schourek, a George Marshall High School graduate.
You can register and sign up to be a sponsor online. All proceeds benefit Falls Church HS athletics programs.
