Grand jury indicts suspects in ATM murder
A grand jury has indicted the two individuals arrested in connection with the murder of Nelson Alexander Sr. at a Wells Fargo ATM on Annandale Road in October 2021.
Alexander, age 73, was withdrawing money when he was fatally shot during a botched robbery attempt.
Winston Lark, the shooter, is charged with murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He was 16 at the time of the crime. Timothy Bradshaw Robinson, 19, the getaway driver, is facing a second-degree murder charge.

According to a representative of the Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, when the cases were presented earlier this month to a grand jury, they found probable cause to indict both defendants. “Conviction at trial will require proof beyond a reasonable doubt – which we believe we can establish.”
A jury trial for Robinson is scheduled for July 24, 2023. Lark is currently being held in Maryland where he is being prosecuted for carjacking. He will be transported to Fairfax County at some point and a trial date will be set.
Thank you very much for this update.
The Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office moving forward with prosecuting this violent murder is a positive development.
