Gross hosts civic leadership seminars

Mason Supervisor Penny Gross’s annual Civic Leadership Seminars for community and homeowner association presidents and board members will start later this month.

The first session, Jan. 24, will feature presentations from the police commanders of the three police districts – Mason, Franconia, and West Springfield – that serve the Mason District.

The Feb. 28 session will be all about the proposal for a community parking district in Mason, and the March 28 meeting will feature presentations from the Fairfax County Animal Shelter and wildlife biologist.

All three meetings are 10 a.m.-noon in Gross’ office at the Mason District Government Center, 6507 Columbia Pike, Annandale. To RSVP,  call 703-256-7717 or email [email protected].

Gross has hosted these seminars since 2007  to educate neighborhood leaders about various county services and promote information sharing among participants. Previous sessions have focused on such issues as public safety, emergency management, and code compliance.
