Health Department reports second COVID-19 death
“This is a tragic loss and our hearts go out to his family and friends,” said Dr. Gloria Addo-Ayensu, director of health.
“This most recent death, along with the increasing numbers of coronavirus cases we are seeing, is a reminder that we all need to be diligent in doing our part to help slow the spread of virus in the community,” Addo-Ayensu said. She urges people to maintain social distancing, wash your hands, avoid touching your face, and stay home if sick.
There are now 124 coronavirus cases in the Fairfax Health District, with the majority, 68, involving people age 18-24. There are three cases involving people age 17 or under, 29 cases in the 50-64 age group, and 24 among people age 65 and over.
