Help Klaudia get a prosthetic arm
Klaudia Castillo, a former resident of Fairmont Gardens in Annandale, is asking the community to help her raise money for a prosthetic arm.
People can donate to a GoFundMe campaign set up by her family.
Castillo was badly injured in a car crash five years ago. She was on the way to work when another vehicle ran a red light and slammed into her car.
Since then, she’s had multiple surgeries, and some muscle and skin from her leg was attached to her arm. Nothing worked and she was in constant pain, so she eventually had her arm amputated.
Meanwhile, Castillo hasn’t been able to work. She could no longer afford her apartment, so she moved in with a friend in Sterling. Her children – a daughter and son who attend Northern Virginia Community College – have been helping her.
Castillo hopes that if she can get a prosthetic arm, she’ll be able to get a job and support herself.
All the best for Ms. Castillo, it would be incredible seeing her receive the prosthetic. 💜
How does insurance or a lawsuit not cover this? That’s messed up.
